2. Write a note on the results of the Third Anglo Mysuru War?
Ans: a) In the third Anglo – Mysuru war, the Britishers laid siege to the capital city of Tippu’s Srirangapatna.

b) Tippu had to sign a peace treaty with the British.

c) As per the peace treaty, Tippu had to surrender half his kingdom to the British and had to pay 330 lakh as compensation

d) Two of his sons were taken as hostages until the compensation was paid.
